Reguvale's smart positioner digital control valve pairs a high-performance globe or cage-trim body with a microprocessor-based smart digital positioner for the most accurate modulating duty. The positioner reads the actual stem position, compares it to the 4-20 mA setpoint, and drives the actuator with closed-loop PID to deliver ±0.5% linearity.

Available positioners include pneumatic YT-1000 / YT-1050 and smart digital units supporting 4-20 mA, HART, Profibus PA or Foundation Fieldbus. Auto-calibration, auto-tuning and partial-stroke test routines reduce commissioning time and enable predictive maintenance. SS316 trim and PTFE or metal seats cover most chemical service.

Standard sizes DN25–DN300 in PN16 / PN40 are available; higher pressure ratings and exotic alloys are quoted on request.

What is the advantage of a smart digital positioner?

It reads actual stem position, compares it to setpoint, and drives the actuator with closed-loop PID for ±0.5% accuracy - much tighter than a conventional I/P converter. It also provides HART diagnostics and SIL partial-stroke testing.

Can I use my existing YT-1000 or YT-1050 with the smart option?

Yes. The YT-1000 and YT-1050 pneumatic positioners are fully compatible with the same mounting bracket and signal range as the smart digital modules.

Does the smart positioner support HART and Profibus?

Yes - smart digital modules support HART 6/7 (default), Profibus PA and Foundation Fieldbus. The protocol is set in the firmware; the same hardware accepts all three.
